1. Proove Pizza
It’s hard to imagine pizza in Sheffield without Proove, particularly as they won Best Neapolitan Pizza Restaurant in the UK in 2021. After returning from a trip to Naples, the owners of Proove haven’t looked back and provide top-quality ingredients to provide authentic and delicious pizza. A great place for a date night, or a catch up with friends, the relaxed and friendly environment is just what you need, or if you don’t fancy sitting in, they do takeaway! Plus, there’s a whole vegan menu for my fellow veggie and vegan friends!

2. Napoli Centro Pizzeria
Cooked the Neapolitan way, hot and fast, the pizza at Napoli Centro is a definite must try! The independent restaurant sources their ingredients from local producers, as well as their friends in Italy – the best of both worlds. The restaurant prides itself on being authentic and is well worth dining in or taking away, whichever you fancy.

3. Rudy’s
Very well known pizzeria, Rudy’s, opened their first Sheffield restaurant in the heart of the city centre in 2022 and has not disappointed! Bringing the traditions and artistry of pizza from Naples, their pizza gets high praise from its reviews and from us! We are very partial to adding burrata right in the middle of the pizza to add even more cheese (if that’s your thing!) You can sit inside and soak up the cosy chilled vibes, however we would highly recommend booking a table, as it gets busy very quickly.

7. Pizza Express
An oldie but a goldie, Pizza Express have upped their game with their vegetarian and vegan options that I couldn’t miss this one off. Of course they still have their classics, but for a vegetarian who likes to eat meat substitutes, this was exactly what I was looking for. Choose from their classic crust, upgrade to the thinner and crisper Romana base or opt for gluten-free.

9. Mama’s and Leonies
Established since 1968, Mama’s and Leonies is an excellent choice if you want no-fuss, old-school Italian pizza. They offer a full menu that includes way more than pizza, but we have to say, their pizza is total cheesy-goodness and will not disappoint! The restaurant has a family-friendly vibe, the service is quick, and the food is always piping hot!
