Winter Gardens & Peace Gardens
In the heart of the city centre, the Winter Gardens is home to more than 2000 plants from around the world, creating a stunning green space. It is the perfect place to have some down time during your lunch break, a wander through the Millennium Gallery, or grab a coffee from the cafe. Leading into the centre, the Peace Gardens is a huge public space which offers a lovely place to sit on a sunny day, or where live events throughout the year take place.

Weston Park
Measuring just over 5 hectares, Weston Park lies immediately west of the City Centre, close by to the University of Sheffield. It has a beautiful outdoor space, with tennis courts available to hire and the Weston Park Museum. The Museum offers free exhibitions to go and explore and you can make a donation if you wish.

Crookes Valley Park
With the majority of the park taken up by a lake, Crookes Valley Park is a lovely area of greenspace which is situated right next to Weston Park. There are plenty of benches, a small children’s playground, and you may be able to feed the ducks if they are around!

Botanical Gardens
Opened in 1836, Sheffield Botanical Gardens is a gorgeous outdoor greenspace in the heart of the student area in Sheffield. Situated near Ecclesall Road, the gardens are preserved by The Sheffield Botanical Gardens Trust to ensure it is looked after properly. So, take a stroll and admire the natural beauty of the flowers and plants it has to offer, and grab a coffee from recently refurbed Joni.

Endcliffe Park
Endcliffe Park is situated on Rustlings Road and is a large parkland and woodland area which is the first in a series of green spaces, known collectively as Porter Valley Parks. Endcliffe Park has plenty of walking routes, and has a large children’s playground near a cafe which serves delicious food.

Forge Dam
A bit further along from Endcliffe Park, Forge Dam is a place to be explored! Take a walk on the footpaths, walk your dog, play at the playground, or feed the ducks. Through the woods you will find Forge Dam Cafe which is a family run business serving delicious foods, hot drinks, and ice-cream!

Heeley City Farm
Located just 15 minutes away from the city centre, Heeley City Farm is a lovely park to walk around and visit the animals and wildlife area. Explore the garden centre, and enjoy a brew in The Farm Kitchen Cafe.

Meersbrook Park
Meersbrook Park is on a steep hillside offering panoramic views over the centre of Sheffield. Within the park you can visit the Bishop’s House Museum and Meersbrook Hall which is a grade II listed building.

Graves Park
Graves Park is one of the biggest parks in the South West of the city. It has a mixture of open and woodland with several streams running through it. There are many facilities available for visitors, including a children’s playgrounds, Graves Park Animal Farm, and a cafe.

Millhouses Park
Millhouses Park is a couple of miles outside the city centre, which is perfect to get away without going too far.
